Once you have picked a location, day and time for your meetings, it is very important to inform the Midwest Region and World Service Office. You can notify the region by filling out a Contact Us form on their website at – Midwest Region – Contact Us
You should register your new meeting with the World Service Office at – Submit a Group
Active participation in the Midwest Region (MWR) offers many benefits:
- New active groups will receive some basic Nar-Anon Literature to help defray some of the startup costs
- The MWR will provide contact information for other groups in your area or state you can use as a resource when questions or challenges arise
- Various Nar-Anon communications will be forwarded to you as they are sent out
- Participation in monthly Group Service Representative (GSR) Conference Calls will allow your group to have input into how the MWR conducts its affairs. You will also be able to ask questions during the ‘Open Mic’ portion of the call.
- Your group will have representation through a Delegate at the World Conference plus other WSO committees through MWR members that participate.
The World Service Office (WSO) and its website can provide many resources – Nar-Anon Literature, Outreach materials, ‘Serenity Connection’ newsletters, minutes of various meetings, meeting locations worldwide, conventions, workshops and other special events.
